To measure the success of any M.I.C.E event, you have to calculate the business appointments that took place, this year, IT&CMA 2013 generated over 14,000 business meetings between sellers and buyers, reaching an impressive ratio of 1.6 Buyers to 1 Exhibiting Company.
IT&CMA 2013, invited 60% new buyers from different parts of the world, Asia buyers makes over 60%, with around 30% European Buyers.

New Zealand briefing was presented by Ms. Mischa, she confirmed that a three years Brand and new marketing plan started 1st of July to draw the interest to New Zealand as a MICE destination and to compete with other countries in the region. Marketing will be focused on China, USA and Australia also United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, India, Indonesia and South America to encourage MICE and Leisure visitors to visit New Zealand. The new marketing will focus on higher value visitors. The government has supported the Travel and Tourism sector in New Zealand with additional 40% of last year budget. New Zealand will organize a Meetings event during June 2014 to introduce its MICE and leisure facilities to visitors.
Thailand confirmed that 110% of their plan for 2013 has been achieved, a new Branding - Thailand Connect – showing how MICE visitors can be connected with Thailand MICE and Incentives facilities. Thailand presentation was made by Ms. Supawan Teerarat.
An interesting project which is the speed Train between China and Singapore was mentioned during the briefing that will cross Thailand and will connect Thailand with Asian countries by land.

The opening ceremony & welcome reception hosted by Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau took place at Plaza Anthenee Bangkok. A wonderful night at Sukosol Hotel with very tasty sea food was offered to delegates, songs and entertainment after dinner added nice atmosphere to the night.
