During the 22nd Emirates Recycling Awards Ceremony, Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) presented Two Seasons Hotel & Apartments in Dubai with a certificate of appreciation for being the first runner up in the Corporate Category for collecting 16,015 kg of glass in 2018.
Adding to this, the hotel was the second runner up for collecting 1,238kg of cans.
The dedicated waste collection and recycling campaign encompasses eight major waste streams: aluminum cans, paper, toner, glass, battery, plastic, mobiles and tetrapaks.
Commenting on the hotel’s commitment to preserving the environment was managing director, Two Seasons Hotel Company, Freddy Farid: “It is our mission to extend our continuous efforts to raise awareness and encourage our employees to be more conscious about the environmental sustainability. We are proud to contribute to the biodiversity of the UAE. [Our] participation [this campaign] is in line with a wider series of initiatives under our Green Globe Label and Dubai Government directives aiming to enhance environmental awareness.”
Farid continued: “We are happy to unify the efforts and reinforce the environmental sustainability practice in order to find solutions that encourage the environmental culture and to maintain a highly qualified sustainable environment that suits with the government’s lifestyle.”
