Sheraton Gateway LAX Unveils New Conference Center Aimed at Cost-Effective Meeting Planners

The Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel, debuts the opening of its new meeting area, The Hub Conference Center, conveniently located near Los Angeles international airport. The recently renovated 7,523 square feet center offers a cost-effective alternative to typically customized events, providing shared catering packages and breakout spaces with other conferences. The exciting, new renovations join the hotel’s existing 450-person ballroom, an award-winning culinary team, a unique outdoor pool deck and a dedicated professional sales and event management team.


Taking up the hotel’s second floor, the new center features a new stadium seated auditorium, executive board room, and 17 meeting rooms to accommodate groups of 10 to 50 attendees. Each room will be outfitted with all the equipment needed for an effortless experience, complete with state of the art audiovisual, flip charts and whiteboards. The hotel also offers a  complimentary shuttle to and from LAX.


Conferences share both common spaces for morning and afternoon breaks and The Brasserie for lunch and dinner. Grouping these services together gives meeting planners a reduced, all-inclusive cost per-person for optimal savings, in addition to maximizing the conference experience with opportunities to network with other groups throughout the day. Reflecting the diverse culinary scene of Los Angeles, Sheraton Gateway’s Executive Chef Collin Smelser brings local Southern-California flavor to this centrally located hotel. Event planners can choose from preset, rotating catering packages such as grilled salmon with smoky pineapple pico de gallo, chargrilled vegetable salad with marinated tomatoes and cotija, achiote-rubbed carne asada, and honey-drizzled churros, featuring locally sourced fresh seafood, dairy and produce. The Hub Conference Center capitalizes on buffet-style meals, served to all groups at once for maximum cost-efficiency. Coffee and snack stations are also available to attendees at any point in the day. The new space is designed to be eco-friendly, with linen-less tables and hydration stations throughout.
