Cycle along the winding pathways to get your heart beating to the rhythms of the bushveld, but don’t forget to take a few moments to catch your breath and appreciate the bounty of animals found on the retreat. Keep your eyes peeled for our zebra often found frolicking in the grass or our majestic giraffe who graciously roam around or pop up out of nowhere from amongst the trees.

You can enjoy a day out in the sun, casting into the rippling waters while delving into one of our lovely picnic baskets which can be prepared on request and will give your taste buds something to delight in while you get lost in the serenity of the retreat.


Next, you can discover a whole new part of Tomjachu Bush Retreat with an exhilarating drive up to Tomjachu Hill. Skirt along the rugged trails in our 10 seater nature drive vehicle “Shrek” as an experienced guide takes you into the mountain bushveld for a close encounter with a variety of African game, hundreds of bird species and diverse plant life. Settle in at Zebra Heights after an exhilarating drive and delight in some sundowners as the panoramic view of the valley below consumes you.
